For the Ageas Model Implementation Team (MIT), based in Brussels, we are in search of a Remetrica Modeling Officer (m/f).
Your function
- Provide leading MIT support in Non-Life methodology design activities: contribute and challenge methodological and functional specifications for non-life model implementation and work in close collaboration with functional and technical analysts/experts;
- Develop and implement the group-wide non-life Remetrica model following a structured and phased model release schedule;
- Embed the non-life model in the international modeling IT platform;
- Coordinate group-wide UAT activities for the non-life model;
- Assist in resolving issues raised by OpCo’s in the non-life risk specific area;
- Produce model documentation and presentations to different governance bodies within the company;
- Collaboration with OpCo’s non-life experts, the Group Risk department and the Risk Reporting department of Group Finance.
Your profile
- Master degree in Applied Economics/Applied mathematics or equivalent by experience, strong actuarial knowledge is an advantage, or a Master degree in Actuarial sciences;
- Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in risk modeling, reporting and /or accounting environment of which the main part in a insurance environment;
- In-depth knowledge of Non-Life insurance risk modelling, risk management tools and quantitative techniques;
- Excellent working knowledge of Re/insurance risk modelling, ideally using applications like Remetrica or Igloo;
- Knowledge of SAS, VB(A), SQL, C# is an advantage;
- General knowledge of accounting principles;
- Familiarity with insurance business (life and non-life) and pension fund business;
- Active knowledge of English is a must, knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus;
- Strong verbal and written communication;
- Proactive, flexible and be able to work on an independent basis;
- Be able to implement the model in a structured way delivering against implementation deadlines;
- Be able to present complex materials in a structured and comprehensive way.
