For the department Solvency II Programme Management, based in Brussels, we are in search of a Pillar 1 Expert m/f.
Your function
Play a key role for the length of the SII programme and its planning phases, covering the overall modelling framework, delivering on the following specific objectives:
- Design an auditable, robust and consistent modelling methodology and framework for measurement of the Market Value of Liabilities (including the risk margin) in line with the Solvency II requirements;
- Develop an overarching approach to modelling and aggregating the SCR, based on internal models for Market, Credit and P&C Risk and standard formula for the remaining components;
- Design a concept for quick, robust and auditable production of the standard formula SCR and MCR;
- Co-ordinate the dry run production process for QIS 5;
- Develop the methodology for estimation models to be used in the risk management framework, the ORSA and in MI supporting business decisions;
- Development of a model governance concept, policies and implementation guidelines in order to ensure a consistent level of model control;
- Developing model documentation to support the group internal model approval process;
- Independent review and challenge of OpCo model implementation;
- Be an aggregation and consolidation expert (non-finance aspects);
- Share technical expertise on content and support other team members on technical matters;
- Ensure consistency of approach across Opcos and group; analysis and reasonableness checks of results; review reasonableness of results coming from OpCos.
Your profile
- Master degree in economics/applied economics or equivalent by experience;
- In-depth knowledge of risk management (tools and quantitative techniques);
- Familiarity with insurance business (life and non-life) or/and pension fund business;
- Cross-risk and economic capital expert;
- These strong cognitive and analytical competencies should be combined with a general view and ability to single out the essentials in a mass of complex information;
- Active knowledge of at least 2 languages (French or Dutch, English)
