Objectives

As a key member of the regional agency team, the Head of Training and MDRT Development will be focused on partnering with our various business units and assist in coordinating and implementing regional best practices around learning and development, e-learning platforms, micro-learning capabilities, psychometric profiling, etc. The incumbent will help drive a culture of constant learning reinforcement in order to improve productivity metrics such as new agent activation, case count per agent, higher protection amount per policy as well as agency retention. 

The incumbent will also be responsible to drive the AGEAS MDRT growth programme which is a key strategic initiative within the Asia division and extending to certain European countries. This includes managing the relationship with MDRT, organizing large scale education conferences every 2 years, coordinating with country teams to implement programmes designed specifically to increase the number of MDRT members, and implement an overall culture of commercial excellence and customer centricity across the agency channel. 

Due to the nature of the AGEAS business model, the training function extends to both Life and non-life agency companies whereas the MDRT portion covers the Life & Health companies across the division.

Your key deliverables:

  • Partner with local entity training teams and assist in the implementation of best practices around training, e-learning, activity management and performance tracking

  • Build a regional training “community” where training teams in various countries can exchange and learn from each other

  • Implement tracking mechanisms to measure the impact of training on various agency metrics such as new agent productivity, case count, retention, persistency, etc

  • Establish a region wide focus on MDRT and work with local entities to implement concrete actions that will lead to year over year increases in MDRT members

  • Work with third party suppliers to hold a bi-annual co-branded Ageas/MDRT education conference with participants from multiple partner companies across Asia and Europe

  • Establish the roadmap and activities required in order to position AGEAS in the Top 5 companies globally in terms of % of MDRT agents in the next 4 years

Your profile

  • University graduate

  • Extensive experience in building and implementing training infrastructure within a large regional insurer

  • Vast understanding of the digital learning ecosystems and market trends

  • Exceptional project management skills and proven track record of success in managing large scale events

  • Strong influential capabilities and ability to work across multiple cultures and geographies

  • Knowledge of the MDRT organization and services

  • Previous experience in insurance sales at MDRT level is preferred
