Your function

Ageas is looking for a young and dynamic finance professional.  He/she should have 3+ years experience in one or more of the following areas: IFRS reporting, consolidation and/or Business Intelligence, preferably combined with audit experience.

The Finance department is in continuous flux and is implementing a new financial reporting standard (IFRS 17) for insurance companies.   You will give support to various teams and will contribute to key projects.  In the first one-and-a half year, you will take up diverse activities, such as:

  • Assist in the implementation of a new business intelligence tool (from data requirements, developing management reports and creating impactful/insightful visuals);

  • Assist various teams (Consolidation, Reinsurance) in the roll-out of IFRS 17 & 9;

  • Assist teams in business-as-usual activities or perform ad-hoc assignments (related to prudential reporting, accounting policies,…);

In a second phase, you will be assigned to a fixed team.

Your profile

  • You have a proven track record and at least 3+ years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: IFRS reporting, consolidation and/or Business Intelligence;

  • You are a real professional, analytical and have a keen interest in a wide variety of finance topics. Experience in insurance / financial services and/or audit is a plus;

  • Self-starter, quality driven, open to change, able to work under pressure;

  • Able to work with and across teams;

  • You have a master’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics or Business;

  • Hands-on experience with modern Business Intelligence tools is a plus;

  • You are fluent (oral and written) in English.
