Finance Process & Project Manager

For the Finance department in its HQ in Brussels we are looking for a Finance Process & Project Manager.

Your function

As a member of the Program and Information Systems Team in the Finance Department, you will divide your time between process management and project management:

  • You are responsible for the management of processes and changes:

    • Perform continuous review of the existing processes and promote process improvements.

    • Ensure that the processes’ documentation is regularly updated (at minimum once a year) and following the different projects/process automatizations performed throughout the year.

    • Contribute to having adequate tools to document processes and to cascade them down.

    • Lead and facilitate the implementation of the Data Governance and Data Quality frameworks.

  • You coordinate the closing process:

    • Request and collect feedback form the different stakeholders;

    • Prepare the closing plan and instructions based on that feedback;

    • Prepare the yearly reporting timetable and draw up ad-hoc instructions.

  • You coordinate the closing post-mortem process, in which issues/points for improvement from the previous closing are identified, followed-up and reported.

  • You act as a Project Manager within your area of expertise:

    • Formulate the objectives and results and develop a detailed plan with well-defined tasks;

    • Monitor the delivery, timing and budget of the project, and conduct the project sign-off;

    • Identify the change needs, change readiness and develop the change actions;

    • Develop the communication plan and manage the related actions.

  • You maintain the Control Framework, perform a quarterly status overview, and optimize the Control Framework process.

  • You promote risk culture within Group Finance & Control.

Your Profile

  • You have a bachelor or master degree in Finance or Business administration;

  • You have more than 5 years of experience in a similar position (a background in Audit is a plus).

  • You have a good knowledge of Accounting, Reporting and Consolidation processes.

  • You have a good knowledge of Valuation & Regulation and the use of IT-applications for creating financial and risk reporting.

  • You are a change driver, able to manage your stakeholders to bring up the required changes.

  • You are a Team player, but you can work independently as well.

  • You speak fluently English (Dutch and/or French is a plus).
