Your function

In order to contribute to its strategy and objectives, the Group Sustainability team (GS) is looking for a new colleague.  As a Group Sustainability Manager, you will be in the lead to coordinate all activities linked to reach a top quartile score with the selected ESG rating agencies Ageas is working with. You will also have a pivotal role in coordinating ESG reporting and communication activities both internally  and externally.

1. ESG Ratings : 

  • Act as a first point of contact for all ESG rating agencies and  practical coordination of rating process during rating season;
  • Build a plan to gradually achieve ESG top scores : identify performance and reporting gaps and define initiatives to bridge the gaps and to complete the missing information;
  • Support a proactive and content driven discussion with involved colleagues to obtain all relevant information needed for the completion of the questionnaires;
  • Collect feedback and register input in the rating tools (with support of the GS team and external expert consultant);
  • Report on progress and initiatives.

2. Preparation/Publication disclosures :

  • Overall, coordinate and further develop the process related to the set-up of a robust non-financial reporting in line with the regulatory requirements and Ageas’ strategy;
  • Coordinate the annual update of relevant disclosures owned by GS team and more specifically activities related to the annual report (going from layout over translation review and content management plus general coordination) and other relevant reports (e.g. TCFD, TNFD, taxonomy,…);
  • Follow up and coordinate the publication of new or to be updated disclosures (e.g. policies, progress reports etc) with colleagues from other departments including assessment of impact new regulation on the said documents.

3. Internal and external Communication :

  • Coordinate and support the information feed to Group Communication for both internal and external communication which includes but not limited to Workplace, website, annual report and other media or related communication tools;
  • Support Investor Relations and Opcos to coordinate information exchange, prepare Q&As, etc.;
  • Assist/coordinate ESG presentations : prepare ESG presentations for the GS team or other internal customers;
  • Reflect on how we can better promote Ageas as a sustainable company;
  • Active participation and presentation to ESG events.

4. Support Legal in follow up of relevant ESG related regulation

  • In a world changing fast in terms of regulation, keep track of new regulation and assess its impact on Ageas in terms of disclosures, reporting and accommodation of behaviour

5. Coordination & Co-lead ESG Governance :

  • Set up/Support/Coordinate the ESG Steering Committee & Weekly ESG Coordination meeting including agenda management + minutes;
  • Set up and animate meetings with Network of Sustainability; regional offices/Opcos/affiliates;
  • Ensure document management & support including setting up a library of valuable documents on specific ESG related topics and peers;
  • Provide support for an effective organisation of the GS team (eg. setting up meetings, preparing documents, reporting and any other support which could be useful to realise the respective ambitions).

Your profile

  • You have a master degree and are passionate about sustainability;
  • You bring at least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a similar working environment, and notions of the requirements of a publicly listed company;
  • You are focussed on delivering quality and have a good eye for details;
  • You have a "can-do" attitude and are a positive thinker;
  • You are an excellent communicator and able to work with people with different backgrounds;
  • Your are IT Savvy and especially proficient in Powerpoint.
