To support the overall strategy, Ageas has decided to set-up a Center of Expertise in Data Analytics (DA CoE). The DA CoE acts as a “corporate accelerator” to help local operating companies (OpCo’s) to create value with data analytics.

 The DA CoE will achieve this objective by, among others,

  • helping OpCo’s leadership identifying business opportunities that can be enabled by data analytics practices and techniques;

  • organizing & delivering implementation project with OpCo’s leveraging multi-disciplinary teams;

  • supporting OpCo’s in implementing the required business transformations (ranging from process adaptation, product & service innovations to evolution of the end-to-end value chain or even business model disruptions);

  • collaborating with OpCo’s to assess, define strategy and execute on change management requirements;

  • monitor business impact creation & organize actions to sustain it.

Your function

To achieve this, we are looking to recruit a Head of Solution Implementation whose objectives will be:

  • To deliver data analytics projects in collaboration with OpCo’s (most important emphasis is on achieving & sustaining business impact);

  • To define and promote an agile delivery methodology for data analytics projects;

  • To animate and develop a global team of solution implementation practitioners in such a way that top talents in the field will be attracted to work for Ageas;

  • To work with OpCo’s to develop solution implementation and “maintenance” capabilities to ensure sustainability of transformation & make them progressively autonomous;

  • To bridge business leaders/intent with data analytics opportunities to ensure realization of impact.

The DA CoE Head of Solution Implementation has the following responsibilities:

  • S/He organizes, delivers and ensures implementation projects success;

  • Scope, size and plan implementation projects & get agreement from OpCo’s on project terms;

  • Assemble multi-disciplinary teams (pulling resources from data science, data management & capability building teams, as well as OpCo locals) required for project implementation;

  • Supervise and/or manage project to ensure successful delivery (including budget, plan, risk management);

  • Interact with OpCo leadership/steering stakeholders to manage and deliver on expectations;

  • Ensures optimal utilization of resources;

  • Staff multi-disciplinary teams based on project needs, available skills & individual development plans;

  • Perform capacity planning and sourcing;

  • Develop the “solution implementation” practice;

  • Define and maintain people model for solution implementation roles;

  • Drive and participate to recruitment activities to acquire top talents;

  • Drive people development of solution implementation staff;

  • Develop and promote solution implementation agile methodology;

  • Manage Data Analytics project portfolio;

  • Facilitate a cross-OpCo prioritization process (in case of resource bottleneck);

  • Ensure overall quality on all active project in the portfolio;

  • Identify and implement synergies in the portfolio (solution packaging, standardization, de-fragmentation);

  • Keep track of DA project portfolio business performance (individual and aggregated ROI);

Your profile

  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience and 5 years in similar function;

  • Experience in working in a large, multi-cultural and distributed organization;

  • Experience in building and leading a global solution implementation team;

  • Large experience and proven records on delivery impactful analytics projects end-to-end;

  • Used to interacting with business management and be able to challenge and deliver according to business expectations;

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with senior management;

  • Ability to identify the strategic issues in his/ her areas of expertise and report to the business accordingly;

  • Strong and convincing communicator/influencer. Great empathy and personality;

  • Excellent presentation skills;

  • Driven to deliver quality;

  • International mindset with a focus on Europe and Asia;

  • Fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch and/or French are a plus;
