Your team

Consisting of 5 international members, the Risk Tooling and Performance Team is responsible of risk tooling development, testing and maintenance along with ensuring their reliability and optimized performance in a context of required governance.

The activities of the team rely on Ageas-wide business specifications and requirements mainly stemming from regulatory reporting frameworks (e.g., Solvency II, IFRS17, LAT, ...). Their work typically starts with assessing, capturing, and translating business needs (e.g., risk calculation changes, regulatory changes, new input/output requirements, user experience) into technical implementation requirements. Based on that, they design and build risk platforms / analytics solutions / automation tools. They support their international risk user community during their activities while using the tools.

Your function

The objective of this role is to design, build, test and document risk valuation and analytics solutions as well as automation tools to support stakeholders needs or improve their user-experience in the context of usage of Ageas Group models and tools.

Your responsibilities include among others:

  • Assess, capture and translate business needs (e.g., risk calculation changes, regulatory changes, new input/output requirements, user experience) into technical implementation requirements

  • Analyse model results by performing bottom up & regression pre-UAT testing of the valuation platforms and valuation models developed in the Model Implementation Team

  • Provide support during UAT and during official closing activities

  • Contribute to the creation/review/presentation of UAT instructions, coordinate and follow-up the User Acceptance Testing

  • Contribute to the design/development/documentation of risk valuation and analytics solutions as well as automation tools

  • Chair the alignment calls with the international user community

  • Aid the Model Control Board

  • Aid internal/external audit missions

  • Act as all-round liaison between group risk managers, operating companies, intra MIT sections and IT

Your profile

  • Familiarity with risk valuation frameworks in insurance (e.g., Solvency II/IFRS17/…)

  • Basic understanding of RDBMS (SQL server and/or SQLite) and proficiency with SQL

  • Proficiency in R/Python programming

  • You have an active knowledge of English - knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus

  • You possess strong verbal and written communication skills

  • You are proactive, flexible, and able to work on an independent basis

  • You can present complex materials in a structured and comprehensive way

  • The following skills are nice-to-have:

    • Familiarity with C# (.NET Core) programming

    • Familiarity with the SCRUM agile framework

    • Familiarity with MS Azure platform

    • Familiarity with Docker

    • Familiarity with MS Power Platform
