Your function

The Senior Manager, Risk, Asia will be expected to:

Support Ageas Asia group of companies in developing sustainable, international best practice and capabilities in risk domains across Ageas' Risk Taxonomy and in line with Ageas policies and standards.  He/she shall own and lead regular risk reporting processes and ensure timely and quality risk assessments of the Asia Region to support management decisions by the Ageas Group and Senior Management.  He/she shall also drive and contribute to operating efficiency in the risk reporting front.

Your key deliverables are to:

  1. Proceed with work including tracking responses from the Operating Companies in Asia and following up late submissions.

  2. Review and identification of submissions, trying to identify possible anomalies in results by referring to the prior submissions/rationale provided, and to follow up incomplete explanations.

  3. Answer, or source answers on the instructions from Operating Companies in Asia.

  4. Contribute to updating reports (ORSA and KRR).

  5. Request and coordinate review question responses from reviewers (Regional Office Management Committee and Group).

Your profile

  • You are a qualified Actuary; full Certified Risk Manager’s qualification is an advantage.

  • You hold a University degree.

  • You have at least 5 to 7 years of relevant working experience in Risk Management.

  • You preferably have regional exposure and have experience in the Insurance industry.

  • You have experience working in a large, multi-cultural and multi-channel organization.

  • You are a good communicator, self-driver, organized, flexible and detail oriented.

  • You are fluent in English and Mandarin. 

  • You are proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
