The CFO of the Ageas Corporate Center is looking for a Senior Project Portfolio Manager who plans, organizes, leads and controls projects within Finance. The first project you will be leading is the implementation of IFRS 17/9 (Finance). You will report to the Group Director Finance and functionally to the Program Management Officer.

Your function

  • You manage the project portfolio of the CFO Office:

    • You manage the long-term budget, the required resources and the risks/constraints, and give advice on priorities if necessary;

    • You align with all stakeholders and manage the related actions;

    • You anticipate, mitigate, solve or escalate issues, risks and scope changes of the projects in the finance project portfolio;

    • You report and communicate on the progress of the different projects to the project sponsor and the steering committee.

  • You act as a project manager for certain projects in the portfolio, such as the implementation of IFRS 17/9:

    • You formulate the objectives and results expected by the project sponsor and develop a detailed plan with well-defined tasks;

    • You define the project and the project structure, and apply the appropriate project management methodology in close collaboration with the Program Management Officer;

    • You manage and execute the project, ensuring it delivers the expected results in time: you monitor the delivery, timing and budget of the project, and conduct the project sign-off.

    • You identify the change needs, change readiness and develop the change actions.

    • You develop the communication plan and manage the related actions.

Your profile

  • You have a Master degree in Business Administration, Economics, Business Informatics or similar;

  • You have more than 10 years of experience in the financial sector, preferably in the insurance industry in the area of Finance;

  • You have a good understanding of IFRS;

  • You have a proven track record in managing projects for a financial department;

  • You have experience with process management (techniques) and project portfolio management;

  • You have a thorough understanding of project management techniques and methods, including change management principles;

  • You have proven ICT knowledge and experience;

  • You have excellent communication skills and an analytical mindset;

  • You are fluent in English.
