Taiping Life Insurance launches the Big Dipper to its agents in China

In response to that, Taiping Life Insurance (TPL) has developed Beidou (the Big Dipper), an AI-powered sales management platform and designed specifically for insurance agents. Beidou streamlines and enhances every stage of the sales process—including lead acquisition, customer filtering, phone appointments, in-person visits, and event-driven conversions. It replaces manual, error-prone workflows with real-time tracking, AI-driven calls, and intelligent client recommendations. And Beidou is demonstrating its worth with tangible results that underscore the benefit this platform provides.

Since its launch in 2024, Beidou has served 3.32 million off-line prospects, converted 230,000 customers into long-term insurance, generated 700 million in new business premium, and attracted 120,000 participating agents. Some 455 online interactions led to the acquisition of 4.19 million leads in 2024¹. And using online links and referrals Beidou is also able to identify and expand the network of potential interested customers, laying a strong foundation for ongoing relationship management and sales conversion.
