Ageas signs ISIT charter

Yesterday Ageas signed the Institute for Sustainable IT (ISIT) charter, confirming our commitment as an organisation to a «Sustainable IT» approach.

Within Ageas, sustainability sits at the heart of our strategy. We offer our customers solutions addressing environmental and societal issues and we support them in their transition towards a more sustainable way of living.

We continuously look at ways that we can make our own operations more sustainable. The signing of the ISIT charter reinforces this commitment. We have already started a number of related initiatives such as Including “sustainability” as part of our purchasing criteria when buying IT equipment and created a dedicated “ESG in IT” taskforce.

We are initiating additional tracks such as extending the lifetime of IT equipment, defining an e-waste policy (e.g.: guaranteeing a second life for our equipment by offering our used laptops to schools) and Increasing employee's ESG awareness (taking on initiatives such as the Digital CleanUp Day).
