King of Belgium visits “To Walk Again” rehab facility

As Ageas enters its 3rd year of partnership with the Belgian Foundation “To Walk Again”, it was proud to participate in a special visit by the King of Belgium to the foundation’s rehabilitation facility, joined by Ageas’s CEO Hans De Cuyper.

To Walk Again was founded by triathlete Marc Herremans with a mission to aid people with physical disability to enjoy an active life by leveraging their own physical abilities to the maximum. The foundation works in tandem with research institutes, schools, and universities on research projects connected to the physical and mental well-being of physically challenged people. Through a unique rehabilitation concept in their REVAlution Centre, including the latest technology such as walking robots, they have changed the lives of many. And specially organised sports camps for physically disabled people, use sport and movement to tackle the challenges faced by many head on.

But Ageas’s involvement doesn’t end there. Through an internal sports challenge involving Ageas’s employees, the Group also supports the related foundation “Athletes for Hope”. Through this sponsorship, Athletes for Hope aims to acquire a walking robot for children with spinal cord injuries or muscle diseases and has already funded the development of a rehab farm. As a supporter of life, Ageas is very proud to support sustainable solutions in the health space, in this case helping those in most need to overcome their daily challenges.
