Boosting your healthy start to the new year

Move more, sleep more, lose weight… Good health is one of the most frequently stated new year resolutions. And here at Ageas, we see a lot of potential to support those good intentions. That’s also why we’ve been scaling up our efforts across the Group to expand our products and services in the Health space.

The health sector is going through quite some revolution around the world. Consumers are increasingly demanding access to convenient, affordable healthcare – but at the same time the challenges facing the sector are also increasing exponentially. People are living longer; there is a worldwide shortage of medical supplies and care; incidents of non-communicable diseases are rising; and in many markets economic pressures are impacting the ability of governments to meet demand. But on the positive side, consumers are increasingly cognizant of the importance of taking control by taking preventative actions, often supported by new technological developments in healthcare.

Insurers can make an important contribution to the development of health ecosystems by working in partnership with healthcare and other service providers, to create added-value solutions. Ageas has been scaling up its efforts across the Group to allow it to participate in the Health ecosystem and play its part.  Here are some of the things we’ve been doing on the ground to meet our customers’ evolving expectations over the past year.
