Taiping Life has continued this year to take advantage of the benefits provided by the China Taiping Medical-Health-Retirement Alliance providing vital services in the health and retirement segments. This Alliance is made up of 26 partners in the health and retirement fields who are committed to providing customers with diversified and high-quality services.

A ‘healthy’ alliance helping to boost retirement and health solutions

Presently, Taiping Life is meeting the needs of its customers through the medical, health and retirement brand “Enjoy Taiping”, and through “Enjoy Elderly Care” and “Enjoy Health.” In 2023 the latter, “Enjoy Health”, further enriched the customer service experience by creating even more opportunities for insurance agents to connect with customers on health matters. By the end of the year a total of 25 million service benefits had been delivered. And taking advantage of its international operations, China Taiping launched a cross-border medical service platform in 2023 covering three major service categories: cross border healthcare, international critical illness diagnosis and treatment and special medicine and equipment services in the Greater Bay Area.  Customers can gain easy access to healthcare service via the Enjoy Taiping WeChat official account platform which enjoys more than 1,180,000 followers and close to half a million registered users. 

Providing strong practical support to the elderly population

Through the “Enjoy Elderly Care” brand Taiping Life is also providing a number of services in the retirement space. China has one of the fast-aging populations in the world, and as such this special focus on the elderly is particularly important. This extends to providing support to continuing care retirement communities that offer high-quality elderly care services for high-net-worth customers; residential vacation options in the nation’s most characteristic cities; and a range of home care services.  Already supporting around 50 “self-owned and cooperative” elderly care communities covering most provinces in China, Taiping Life invested in the first urban-type Retirement Apartment Project in cooperation with Ancient Dian Town in 2023 which is currently being piloted. Based on this pilot, Taiping Life plans to further deepen this type of cooperation model, expanding it to more medium-sized quality communities.
