Your function

For the Finance department, we are looking for a Reporting controller to join the Solvency II & Asset reporting team. 

You will be part of a dynamic team which is working on several regulatory (Solvency II, ICS, IFRS, ESG and IAIS)  and internal management reporting  (E.g.: SII forecasting, SII sensitivities, asset reporting) requirements. We are looking for a communicative, enthusiastic fast-learner with good analytical skills. We will provide the necessary training, so if you are not very familiar with Solvency II, IFRS or sustainibility reporting, you will have a great development opportunity in a very interesting insurance finance/risk topic.

You will have regular interactions and collaborate with various other  internal departments in the Corporate Center (E.g. Risk, Financial control, Reinsurance, Consolidation and Capital Management). In addition, you will have frequent interactions with our subsidiaries in Europe, India and our Regional Office in Asia.

As our new Solvency II Reporting controller, you will primarly control data delivery of the entities and maintain and complete the control framework, ensuring that the regulatory group reports produced are reliable, accurate, complete and consistent.

In more detail, this function will:

On a periodical basis:

  • Be the SPOC and controller for the reporting entities;

  • Ensure the control framework is completed and document/archive the controls performed;

  • Advise about procedures, processes and internal control measures to improve the internal controls;

  • Perform period-to-period analysis (analytical review);

  • Calculate IFRS 9 PD/LGD and ECL for the reporting entities;

  • Assist in providing ESG & compliance reports;

  • Become the responsible for a few of the SII QRTs (quantitative reporting templates);

  • Assist the asset data base manager.

 On an ad-hoc basis:

  • Assist in the implementation of new reporting requirements and testing change requests;

  • Help to improve the financial systems used for Solvency II and asset reporting.

Your profile

  • You have a Master degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Management, Mathematics, Law, etc.;

  • You have 1-4 years working experience as a controller;

  • You have a minimum understanding of the Solvency II framework;

  • You have a good command of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint;

  • You are process minded;

  • You have the ability to quickly assimilate new content and take the necessary next steps (informing people, setting up a project, …);

  • You have strong analytical skills;

  • You are proactive and enthusiastic about delivering the best result;

  • You are a team player and also able to work independently;

  • You are flexible, and stress resistant;

  • You are eager to learn;

  • You are fluent in English. French or Dutch is a plus.
